The internet is full of stories of people who make money online without it costing them any money, but is this really true? Well, yes. And no.
Yes because it IS possible to make some money using free platforms like Hubpages, Squidoo or Blogger and promote products or services as an affiliate marketer or by placing AdSense on your page. But only the rare few make significant money this way. So the claims are true, no one is lying.
The more important answer is the “no” answer. Why?
1. If you aren’t committed enough to spend money then will you be committed enough to make it work? For most people the answer is no.
2. People have a hard time taking you seriously if all you are using is “free” resources. You’ll have a hard time getting into serious affiliate marketing programs unless you can prove you’ve got the traffic and knowhow to make things work. Going to an affiliate manager for a quality program with a new Blogger blog and asking for inclusion isn’t going to cut it.
3. Time is money. Time is more valuable than money.
Get serious about building an online business so that you can experience success. Make sure you have realistic expectations and goals. And know that it is going to take hard work.
